There are several utilities to see how fast your "high speed" internet connection might be. Here are a couple to look at: here (also lists your IP Address) and here must be some reasons their answers do not agree, but oh well it is interesting.

If you do not have Microsoft Office there is a Free Suite of Programs called openOffice.org that accomplish essentially the same thing click here. There is a free photo calendar maker (Flickr Calendar Creator) which you can find here.
Many of the club members have been using a Free Anti-Virus Program called AVG - here is a link to download the Program
There are many Audio and Video Formats and it is often necessary to convert from one format to another to transfer - here is a program called Format Factory which does lots of conversions.
Click here for another audio conversion/ripping Program called Cdex. This program has another feature which allows audio in MP3 format to be embedded into a Power Point Presentation by changing the header information.
PCWorld recomments a free program called CCleaner to eliminate temporary internet files and the residue from various programs - click here for the download link.
Another Program recommended by PCWorld is the Glary utilities(Free) - it includes several sub-programs to analyze your system - click here for the download.
It can be tough to eliminate Norton from your system == here is a link to download a program which completes removing Norton
